Accessible by ferry across the Minch or by air, Barra is world-famous for its unique runway at Tràigh Mhòr, where scheduled flights land directly on the expansive tidal sands. Nestled on the northern peninsula in Eoligarry, my workshop offers a direct view of these daily beach landings right from the window.
Rich in local history and culture, Eoligarry is home to ancient landmarks such as Cille Bharra (St. Barr’s Church) and Iron Age duns, and a magnificent coastline.
